The familiar Danish Kay Bojesen monkey was first designed in 1951. The monkey is manufactured from plantation teak and limba wood, and the natural grain of the wood can be seen throughout, making each monkey slightly distinct from the next. Each one consists of 31 separate wooden parts and is crafted by hand in Denmark.
